There was no video replay back then. Even the Mich players said it was a good goal, we got robbed ! It happened at the other end of the rink from where the Gate section was, so I honestly couldn't see the waived off goal.

Was in Albany; Colgate fans had the crappiest nosebleed seats ever. Will never forget that beautiful, game-tying goal in the waning moments. Absolute chills. Don’t remember who was in goal for Colgate (Brenzavich?), but he came out pretty damn far on a breakaway goal that got behind him.
Seems like M/W keep playing the same nemesis every time, Wisconsin and Michigan. The role of David is exciting but gets exhausting. Some of those goals last weekend were real stunners!C O L G A T E

Reading your thread I'm now much more nervous about Friday's game. Michigan has been inconsistent all season. Did Michigan just beat #1 Minnesota on their ice this past weekend? Yes. Did Michigan take overtime to beat a very bad Wisconsin team at home a couple weeks before that? Yes. A tie and overtime loss at home to a Notre Dame team that didn't make NCAAs the week before that? Also, yes.
One and done hockey is exciting and nerve wracking, as I'm sure all fans know. I'd say good luck to your team, but I obviously wouldn't mean it. I will say that other than PSU, I will be cheering for whatever team comes out of the Allentown regional while in Tampa next month.
As for Michigan fans traveling well, I'm not sure about that. Allentown didn't appear to be well attended last year (3,200 attendance for the regional final between UM and Quinnipiac), and Michigan fans may be bored with the same location 2 years in a row. For my family, the 8 hour drive isn't in the cards, and personally I'm not a fan of the day off between games.
For those of you going, I recommend teaming up with the Tech fans. All of them that I've met are good people, their pep band is a lot of fun, and I'm sure many (but not all) of them will gladly cheer against Michigan.

Colgate's Katie Saeger organized a 30-minute Zoom call tonight, hosted by Karl Clauss, and featuring Don Vaughan, Dana Borges, Chris Azzano, Matt Verboon and Arnaud Vachon. Don stated that they had a good ride down to Allentown, Penna., and they are eager to get on the ice. They feel Michigan (on Friday) will be as tough as Quinnipiac and Harvard were last weekend in Lake Placid, N.Y., and they feel that they are equally prepared. The two assistant coaches and the two players both were given plenty of opportunities to talk about what they do on a daily basis and how they prepare for weekend games. And Don did a great job in talking about the rush of emotions that he felt late Saturday night at the Herb Brooks Arena. Go 'Gate!

The RPI women received a commitment from Calla Woodcroft (London Devilettes) whose father is Craig Woodcroft (Colgate '91). Looking at Calla's scoring stats, I doubt Colgate was interested. I also doubt that you or RPI are interested in Craig's son Holden Woodcroft (Drayton Valley, AJHL), but he does have size.
I join Wicked in hoping that Colgate does well this week.
