Since all have been pining since late this morning here are MIH's records against three of our opponents since the 2018-19 season...games included consist of both ECAC games and o-o-c contests...Harvard: 1-4-1 .250 13GF/24GA; Clarkson: 2-9-3 .250 21GF/35GA; Quinnipiac: 3-10-1 .250 19GF/54GA...Total: 6-23-5 .250 53GF/113GA...amazing in that our winning percentage against all three teams is 25%...also, we have scored over 2 goals ONCE in 14 games against the Golden Knights; in 14 games against the Bobcats we have been shut out SIX times...and finally, these results do not include this year: a 3-2 loss to Q-Pac and a 4-0 shutout loss to Clarkson...is Dr. Moore substantially responsible for this dismal record? Of course not...a discussion re: her impact on our athletic programs during her short (4 1/2 years) is a much more complex challenge...

Colgate was led on the ice for tonight’s pre-game warm-up by Carter Gylander. I believe Cooper Black did the same for Dartmouth.
Colgate’s second shot on net was their first goal (by Alex DiPaolo from Ross Mitton and Reid Irwin).
PP goal by Colgate’s Alex Young (from Colton Young and Reid Irwin). 5-0 SOG.
PP goal by Colgate’s Simon LaBelle (from Ross Mitton and Reid Irwin). 7-0 SOG.
Colgate 9, Dartmouth 1, SOG after one.
Colgate 3, Dartmouth 0, score after one.
Dartmouth score by John Fusco, formerly of Harvard.
Colton Young taken down by Dartmouth player. Play under review. Five-minute major and game misconduct. Dartmouth successfully killed the major penalty.
Matt Verboon from Ryan Anderson and Alex DiPaolo with less than two minutes to go saved that period for Colgate.
Colgate 18, Dartmouth 5, SOG after two.
Colgate 4, Dartmouth 1, score after two.
Reid Irwin is having his best game by far. Not just three assists on three goals in the first period, but a really solid game (even with two penalties).
Dartmouth pulled goalie on PP with six minutes left.
Seabass missed an empty net, but Daniel Panetta didn’t… ENG from Alex Young.
Colgate 23, Dartmouth 17, final SOG.
Colgate 5, Dartmouth 1, final score.Last edited by iowabasedtraveler; 12-02-2022, 09:15 PM.

Is it me or is the ESPN+ announcer who is doing the game tonight and does all the women's games almost impossible to hear? I've noticed this for a while. He's too busy working on his post SU Marv Albert impression to move closer to the mike and speak so we can hear. Hope he reads this and makes some changes...

Random thoughts from home in Owego, N.Y…
Who is the ESPN+ announcer at Colgate home MIH games? Is it not John McGraw?
I fully understand that Dartmouth was ranked 59th of 62 NCAA D-1 MIH programs to start tonight, but we needed to win that confidence-booster. And we did. And it was a blow-out (4-goal differential or more).
Oh, BTW, PWR had it right tonight, #46 Colgate over #59 Dartmouth. After tonight? #45 and #60, respectively.
Finally, let me just relish the moment… tonight, Michigan lost. Then North Dakota lost. And, finally, Cornell lost (to Harvard, at home). On the same night that Colgate won. And Omaha won. For me, personally, that is a Win-Win-Win-Win-Win.

Rewatched the goals from the Cornell/Harvard game…what an atmosphere at Lynah. Can’t ever imagine having that good a team every year with that fan support. Glad the Crimson could play spoiler!C O L G A T E

I thought our PP was very good last night, great puck movement, crisp passing. At 3-0 I started switching back and forth all the ECAC games, very surprised that Princeton hammered Clarkson. Harvard looked very good last night, Cornell same ole same ole, huge plodding forwards, try to outmuscle you. Very tough game tonight against #9 Harvard. It all starts with the goaltending.

Nice to see a Friday night where they came out with energy and intensity...it paid off early...yes, a big test tonight against a Harvard team loaded with NHL draft picks...note that Princeton and Ron Fogarty dropped a dime on Clarkson last night...Old Nassau continues to improve...good for Ron, good for the ECAC...GO GATE
