Bergeron was ****ed he found out about the NCHC at the same time as the general public. Wasn't ****ed about BG being left out (really nobody was). He was mad because someone who he thought was a friend (Rico) left him be blindsided like everybody else. He righted BG's program, BG was asked to apply with Mankato but declined.

Through all that, BG and Miami still scheduled each other every season. BG dropped Miami from the schedule due to the circumstances surrounding a player transferring. Probably could have turned in an NCAA violation over it, but instead just decided to not schedule them for awhile, which hurts their budget far more than any sanctions would have.

OSU quit scheduling them a while ago, after they thought Miami was trying to run the score up on them.

Thanks for clearing up the issues with BG. I remember the running up the score incident, and that certainly added some gasoline to a fire that was burning since the 60s. Once they were no longer in the same conference, there was no way that OSU was going to give them an annual series. Of course, they were flying high at the time and couldn't imagine that it would matter. Now, they'd kill for OSU to come down there once a year.

If you watched the BSU vs LSSU games this weekend, LSSU is playing very well right now and will be a huge challenge for anyone. They are pretty far back but could ruin your season if you have to play them.

Counterpoint - BSU is playing like crap in the second half. 2-5-1 so far & probably should have been swept by LSSU.

Watching the Beavers/Lakers game was tough. Aside from what seemed like my Beavers never finding the net, the camera jumps and twitches almost made the game unwatchable. They need a new camera operator who doesn't pan like they drank five Red Bull's. Thankfully, no more Lakers home games for me.

Planning on going to the Mavericks/Beavers series in a few weeks as my niece goes to BSU. Anyone have any idea if I can avoid ticketmaster fees if she goes to the ticket office at Sanford to get the tickets rather than buying them online with TM?

I believe you still have to pay a facility fee, but the TicketBastard fees are avoided. But it has been a couple of years for me, so I am not 100% sure if it is still the case.

I'm curious, does Bemidji not sell single game tickets directly to fans from a university web site? I guess I assumed every school did that (see bgsufalcons.com).

Nope. With the Sanford Center being city owned and run by a national firm, ASM Global, all tickets to events there are through TicketBastard. Bemidji High School held a wrestling tournament there a couple of weeks ago and tickets were through TicketBastard or the Box Office.

Attended MTU/BSU this weekend, and was not charged TM fees at the box office.
