    awesome start. 0-2. Granato and Oseicki have the train heading in the right direction.

    can’t wait to see the results the next few weeks. I really don’t know how they can maintain their jobs without a remarkable and literally miraculous turn around that has never happened in Wisconsin hockey history

      It looks like the Keystone Cops defense is still in place: 4 straight goals given up. Being out of state I usually pay for a TV sports package that has Bally's Wisconsin on it to watch Badger hockey. I'm not gonna waste my money this year. Too much heartburn last year and it's not worth the aggravation. I've followed this team since 1982. Drank beers in Jones House with Tony in 1983 during PBS game replays. Great guy, lousy coach. The house needs to be cleaned. 40+ years of following this team, but I can't take another season of this. I'll follow the scores, but until changes are made I'm stepping back. No more alum coaches; go get someone not associated with the program.

        During the 2-15-16 season a BC posted that the first team to score their 3rd goal of the game usually won and gave stats from about a dozen BC NCAA games. I complied scoring information for all NCAA men's and NHL teams for the 2015-16 season and the data showed it was true. I currently have complete expanded men's data from the 2019-20 season to date which includes when teams have different leads.         Last season the number of teams that won after falling behind increased dramatically, although still only a small percentage overall. At this time I don't know if it was a statistical fluctuation or a sustained trend. However, Wisconsin is in a very small group of teams to have blown a 3-0 lead since 2018 (two other teams blew 3-0 leads Saturday: Air Force, which was able to earn a tie vs Notre Dame, and Ferris State, which lost to Western Michigan).

            If I told you UW would score a shorty and a PP, and win faceoffs 38 - 22, you think they'd win the game. That is a winning combo. Winning those faceoffs gives you extra opportunities to control the play. Instead they get outshot handily 31 - 20, give up 2 pp's and lose after a 3-0 lead. You can't make this crap up. Unreal.

            10th ranked St. Cloud, then 4th ranked UMD. It's probably gonna get uglier folks.

              I thought and stated here, an 0-6 start was a distinct possibility. I still think they sneak one out in the next 4. I will say 1-5. But not a good start and I have gone from negative to apathetic... I truly don't care until there is a change in leadership.

                    They negotiated it down from 20 mil to 11 mil, so there's 9 million left in the buyout pool for TG.

                        Agreed. 1-5 is the most logical estimate of how this will go. 4-5 wins by x-mas . Does McIntosh wait until the end of the year?

                        My biggest fear is he knows 0 about hockey so who will he rely on to advise him on coaches?

                          North Dakota could have blown a 3-0 lead, but it would have been before the 2018-19 season. Since the start of that season UND has taken a 3-0 31 times and they have not blown the lead in any of those games. For comparison Wisconsin has only taken a 3-0 lead 17 times over the same period and the were tied up in two before going on to win. For those interested here is the complete list of games:

                              No, I think the men's game/landscape is not in his wheelhouse anymore. I'd rather have the women be a powerhouse than the men as it's easier to maintain superiority since the competition is not nearly as tough.
