  • The first one was one of the COLDEST experiences of my life. Just bitterly cold.

    • I caught DQ’s introductory press conference. Someone asked him a question about the Warriors. DQ looked a little surprised.

        • Stealing this info from UML thread (thanks boblav1 ). August 1st is when juniors and high school I believe are allowed to commit. Seems some HE schools have more commits than some of big name schools. Really interesting with Mich, Minn, Notre Dame, and Duluth having sub 10 commits. Maybe they are saving" there scholarships for the young National Program kids. Who knows. Just interesting to see how hockey east compares to the rest of the field. Can't see too many kids turning down Michigan and Minnesota...

Here's the current recruit totals for HE teams on the Heisenberg site for 2023 and beyond.

          22 - ME
          20 - UMA
          20 - PC
          17 - UVM
          16 - BU
          16 - NU
          13 - BC
          13 - UConn
          12 - MC
          10 - UNH
          6 - UML

          Other big name programs:

          Michigan - 8
          Minnesota - 6
          Notre Dame - 8
          Duluth - 6
          NoDak - 13
          DU - 16
          Wisco - 18

As much as I Fenway love for a baseball game, it is a terrible place to watch a hockey game.

I suppose it would be worth going to a Frozen Fenway if you have never been to one, for the novel experience. But otherwise, no.
Seats that suck for baseball as worse for hockey. As scarlet mentioned, was so ****ing cold mookie and son stood the whole time jumping up and down. Yuck

            • mookie and JD don't know how to dress. As the Finn's say: There isn't bad weather, just bad clothing. : ) But I'm good. Don't need to do it again.

              It Happened!!!!

Interesting chart. Re BU’s 16-commit pipeline (and hopefully a few more after Aug. 1), the current roster has 10 seniors (6F, 4D) and juniors Commesso and Tuch must be considered flight risks next Spring. BU will be one of the older squads this season and should be one of the youngest in 23-24. Several on Heisenberg’s page are designated as "23 or 24."

Lots of Seniors on the '95 and '09 teams IIRC. Just saying...

Always funny when this happens but it happens a lot. A lot of kids just don't want to play for their dads. The Eaves kids are a great example of it. It does hurt going to a rival though

Keefe is an LD who played at Malden Catholic and was a Mass. Mr. Hockey finalist. Attended NTDP evaluation camp. Tendered by Muskegon and joins Gavin McCarthy on the Lumberjacks blueline.

                          • Second Terrier commit of the day is 5'11" left-shot forward Kamil Bednarik from NJ Rockets. NTDP U17 this season.

NZ Scouts: “Bednarik was one of our highest rated forwards last summer in Buffalo at the Development Camp and followed that up with a stellar season playing up a year with the U16’s at NJ Rockets. He’s smooth skating, quick twitch forward with silky smooth mits and a quick, accurate release on his wrister and snap shot. He was able to rush wide on defenders with speed and put them on their heels and he would instinctually recognize if he had room to cut in or if he should curl back and wait for trailers or if he should just use his speed and go around them. His offense is versatile in that he doesn’t just rely on the rush; he can make plays from the corners and behind the net, he can play a skill game and pull away with his quickness or he can drop the shoulder and ride his edges to the net front.”

                            • Seems like a solid start to the new regime's pipeline development. Hopefully we get at least one more of the top guys.
