Originally posted by hydrant View PostRecruit Charles Alexis Legault has committed to Quinnipiac for next season. Right handed defenseman Lachlan Getz committed to BU yesterday. Getz is a former Union commit. It is unknown if Getz (2002 BY) is coming this upcoming season. Leagult could've went to QU for scholarship purposes, or was asked to do another year of juniors. His father, Alexandre Legault, played for BU from 89-91. Not a major recruiting loss. From what I've seen Legault had unbelievable tools but not a great hockey brain.
With Getz and Lane Hutson from the NTDP U18s, BU will have 10 Ds next season ( Fensore, McCarthy, Gallagher, Jarman, Webber, Copeland, Driscoll, Page)Last edited by Rogie21; 05-23-2022, 10:22 AM.

Mark Divver tweeted:
New @TerrierHockey head coach Jay Pandolfo hits the ground running with hire of Joe Pereira from UConn last week & expected addition of Kim Brandvold, Boston Bruins skating & skills guru, as assistant coach.
In addition to his work with the NHL club, Brandvold has played a pivotal role in Providence, running skills practices once a week all season. He's an independent thinker and all-around good guy.

I'd say this is a slam dunk. Glad Jay noticed development has been a major issues in recent years ad is taking a different approach to running the team so far.

Slam dunk seems strong in that this would be unorthodox. It could end up being a great hire though. It's definitely an interesting case study. First Norwegian born associated with BU hockey?

Why unorthodox? He is much more than just a "skills" coach.... Not that it wouldn't be enough. It is a brilliant move and an unbelievable get and some great out of the box thinking by Pandolfo.

It appears that Albie will land on his feet with a scouting role with the Montreal Canadiens.
Montreal president and director of hockey Jeff Gorton's son, Jack, will be a freshman at BU in the fall.
Albie reportedly turned down a chance to be associate head coach at Michigan State. First with Danton Cole, and then again with Adam Nightingale after Cole was fired.
While many of us felt that Albie was not cut out to be the HEAD coach at a major college program, he is a good guy, a good hockey man and still has a lot to offer the sport in other areas.
Wishing him the best as his hockey journey goes down a different road.
