    It doesn't and he shouldn't

Big day for the program, a win would be another massive step forward. One at a time!

    Let’s GO MAVERICKS!!!

That was a very skilled Harvard team. We showed some grit, but have some things to clean up before Saturday. Survive and advance!

It wasn't pretty, but we got through. There has to be something going on with the ice and boards though. Bad bounces galore. Weird, fluky goals. Missed wide open nets. The last five minutes of the second and third periods were something else.

Wow. That was way too close for my liking.

It’s been awhile, but glad to see this thread is still doing well. Big day today, Go Mavs!

Putting this in writing could bite me, but going into the bracket reveal I wanted nothing to do with 3 teams: Michigan, UMD, and DU. I think the Mavs got an excellent draw and if they see one of those 3 teams, it’ll be on the last Saturday of the season in Boston.

    Let’s get a W today! GOOOOOO MAVERICKS!

People get so enamored with the draft picks that they forget this is a college game and what those players do 5 years from now doesnt matter.
We aren't so much down on our team as waiting for them to put it all together for a whole 60 minutes.

Good Luck Mavericks. Represent the CCHA and Minnesota well. Hope to see you in Boston.

Even without the wins against Tech (an outstanding defensive team who plays a good, clean game, and will be a tough out for anyone in the tournament), our 5-2 record, with a .714 winning percentage, would still lead the field. But we did lose to 4 different teams from Michigan, so we should try to avoid that state.

I saw a tweet this morning, that I can no longer find, that showed each team in the tournament record against the other teams in the tournament. Minnesota State had the highest winning percentage against other teams in the tournament. The three other teams in the top four winning percentages included Notre Dame, North Dakota, and UMASS.
Of course 4 of those 9 wins by the Mavs are against Michigan Tech. But still an impressive mark.
