What a great way to start the season being back at Gutterson live to watch the Cats come back from a 2-0 deficit for the victory. Random thoughts:

      - Very much a young team with a lot of upside that is going to be fun to watch.
      - Love that the wings are releasing down the ice more when breaking out.
      - Good puck support although there were a lot of pucks bouncing over sticks. I suspect the team will be working on passing the puck to each other rather than shooting it at each other
      - I think UVM is going to miss Jeff Hill
      - Not sure what happened that gave UVM the delay of game penalty
      - Love that upper classmen are transferring to UVM. Speaks volumes about the coaching staff
      - The new score board is really great. Need to get used to watching the replays on it though.
      - Something clicked between the second and third period - it was a different team playing. Don't know if it was first game jitters or something that happened in the locker room but YAY!

Can't remember the last time I drove home after a game smiling because the team overcame a deficit to win. I think the team will have some ups and downs this season but the program is going in a good direction.

Very excited for the weekend! I know we're going to have bad periods, bad games, and even bad weekends, but I'm definitely in the "we won't finish last" camp. Go Cats Go!

Honestly not a terrible game, two tips and two uncharacteristic softies, it happens. I thought generally we were decent

Frustrating weekend. Feel we were unlucky to get swept. Colgate's goalie was incredible.

The progress is evident, but there's still work to be done.

Just wanted to highlight that, despite the losses, I'm really excited about the direction we are heading.

Compared to a few seasons ago, the degree of offensive creativity I'm seeing is way, way up. I think that's a result of some upgraded talent and also the change in our play style. They way I would characterize it is that we are now playing to win rather than not to lose. That's going to turn into some tough results while we get used to it and change our personnel through recruiting over a period of a few years, but I love it. The kids don't seem to be nearly as afraid of making a defensive mistake, but rather are focused on doing something positive. Enjoyed watching the Colgate losses more than I enjoyed watching many 1-0 wins or 1-1 ties over the past several years. My opinion is that if you want to attract talented recruits, you have to allow them to play a style that shows off their abilities as they strive for the next level, and I think we are finally doing that.

Good job Coach Woodcroft, stay the course!

Was at both games last weekend and have been meaning to post something. I echo Catamount93's comments. Playing a much more wide open style of hockey. Was never a fan of the dump and chase zone entry to get the puck behind the defense but am seeing them have some success because they are winning battles for the puck.

Left both games happy that we went to the games in spite of the 0-2 record. There is a lot of talent on the team and it will be interesting to watch the development as the season progresses.

I liked seeing Harmon in the net; he brings a lot of competitive attitude on the ice with him. Came into a tough situation Friday and stoned them for the 3rd period. During that game one of the Colgate wings (22?) 'fell' on him after the whistle. Harmon might have slammed him to the ice a bit getting untangled.

Student section was on fire both nights. Technical difficulties with the anthem Saturday night and the student section started singing it.

It's a young team. Going to be ups and downs but wins will come when they figure out how to sustain the intensity we have been seeing glimpses of for an entire 60 minutes. Any update on Carter Long? Left the ice with what looked like an ankle issue.

Looks like Long isn't around today. Lemay is on D so i assume there's just a pile of injuries there

Got to see my first game at the Gut in over 2 year last night. Offense is definitely a work in progress. 0 SOG until the midway point of the 2nd period. PP looks lost at times. They moved the puck pretty well, but lots of turnovers in the QU zone and just not shooting enough. I'm sure part of that is just QU is really good team. Trust the process. Defense looked good though, and Harmon was great all night. Love the new video board and the student section was awesome! Made me happy that people seemed to be following the mask mandate closely. I do think this team is better than their 0-3 start would indicate, but definitely a ways to go.
