Liberty League released details yesterday on upcoming football plans. Looks like athletes won't return until all students do, shortened football schedule starting in late September. It wouldn't shock me if this is how ECAC hockey season unfolds...(shortened season starting in January) if we are fortunate enough to have hockey at all.

I believe they play in the Patriot League.
I've been lost since 1989. I got a breakaway on a river and have been skating ever since!

          • John Beaton is #17. This makes me 1/4 since Jake Gagnon cannot be #17 now.

            To recap:
            Brett Miller #30
            James McIsaac #8
            John Beaton #17

            • I saw one of the RPI Zambonis being hauled down 787 South on Friday....hopefully its just headed our for factory servicing and not a victim of a fire sale !!

If Williams is not participating in fall sports, it is not a good sign for Division III competition in the Northeast.

With Bowdoin doing the same, I'm thinking it'll be the entire NESCAC. We'll see if other D3 conferences follow their lead.

alumni Ken Hammond ‘85 | Neil Hernberg ‘87 | Terry Butryn ‘85 - all members of the 1985 NCAA Championship Team. A phenomenal meeting with our current leadership group. #hailtothee #rpihockey

                    FWIW, Butryn was '87.

That should give us a pretty good clue regarding next season's captains.

Neil Hernberg and Terry Butryn had to be in the same class because they were on-ice twins.

Except that there are 7 players, three goalies and Jerry, Sellar, Linden, and Ferner.

At most levels of hockey goalies cannot wear the 'C' or 'A'. However, I'm not sure the NCAA has such a limitation. It would also be surprising to have a new guy, Sellar, be a captain, but it makes sense that he'd be in the leadership group since he will be one of the most experienced guys on the team. So, my guess is that a captain and two assistants will come from Ferner, Jerry and Linden.

Goalies can be the captain or AC in college, but I am pretty sure that they cannot be the one who speaks to the ref.
