The players are together anyway so it would just be a matter of keeping the fans a little apart from the players.

They would definitely need a barrier to prevent high fiving between the players and fans.

That’s great news. I am excited for college hockey to return.

Yep, that's what I heard also. Then, I think the Lakers have a home and home series with Ferris the following weekend.

I am guessing a home and home with NMU and a home series with UAH in December? Is the WCHA schedule coming out tomorrow?

Edit: It looks like schedule will indeed be released tomorrow.

Only two long trips for the Lakers. A trip to UAA and Bemidji State in January. No trip to Alaska Fairbanks, Minnesota State or UAH.

It will be interesting to see how the attendance/ticketing/social distancing procedures unfolds in the next two weeks or so.

                • So looking at the schedule with more dates filled in, the Lakers start the season with 5 games in 9 days / 6 in 12 days / 8 in 16 days. The fan in me likes it, but realistically how much is fatigue going to factor in?

Might not be too bad. It will be early in the season so not a lot of wear and tear on the players yet. And since they are non-conference games, I expect we'll see a lot of shuffling of players in and out, especially the new guys to see what they can do.

They all did it in junior. They’ll have to do it if they want to play pro. If there weren’t games, they’d be practicing instead.

I'm surprised that there is still no ticket information out yet for any WCHA team. It makes me wonder if there's a chance the season might get postponed again.

                          • Uaa is officially done and won't play this season. The Lakers were scheduled to play UAA in Anchorage January 8-9. I'm sure this will throw a major monkey wrench into the WCHA scheduling.

Maybe. The WCHA may have a scheduling option ready in case something like this happened.

The Lakers have a new commit out of the BCHL:

The Lakers have received 4 NLIs in the past few days. Brett Roloson, Cole Craft, Bryan Huggins and Sebastian Miedema.
