So take your pick ... discuss the season to date? Discuss last weekend's game(s)? Next weekend's opponent? Adjustments to the forward lines and/or defensive pairings? Robinson or Taylor? Favorite first year player(s) to date? Latest on injuries? How's the rest of the league looking? There's a whole bunch of suggestions, slugger ... now, go show us how it's done, OK?
Better yet - give the AD a call. Maybe he'll listen if it's from you? Nothing else seems to be working.
I think all of us would prefer some real hockey talk right about now. Let's try this ... a weekend series coming up in Orono, our masterful next-level AD has managed to defer a killer opening two weekends' schedule, and now UNH has a stretch of very winnable games (on paper anyway) coming up. Who wants to chime in with their predictions for this weekend?
(1) UNH sweeps
(2) UNH takes 3 points/2 games
(3) Split series - one or two games
(4) UMO takes 3 points/2 games
(5) UMO sweeps
(6) Both games "postponed"
(7) Saturday only "postponed"
(8) Sunday only "postponed"
Heart says (1) ... mind says (6).

Mark Divver tweets that UNH will bus to Maine tomorrow and play at 3:30...
https://twitter.com/MarkDivver/statu...035274246?s=20
---
I assume that means bus AND play tomorrow - and not at 3:30 on Friday, as the game was previously listed. Games are now listed on Collegehockeystats.net as "TBA" on Friday and Saturday, but at UNH, where as earlier today they were listed as afternoon games on Friday and a night game on Saturday at Maine. So something is up, but what that something is remains a mystery...

EDIT | He has corrected his tweet to say the game is Friday - and perhaps in NH. So, we still must wait a little longer. Watcher on the money...Last edited by Dan; 12-08-2020, 06:21 PM.Live Free or Die!!

Kudos to our schedule-mastering AD ... bump off the BC and UMass weekends until later in the season (and frankly, if ever?), and then turn two road games in Orono into two home games.
Pressure is now on MS7 to deliver the goods with a typical "Champions of December" start to the season, since his boss has certainly done his part to clear the path to early season glory.
Unless of course, this turns out to be another squish-fest, where the UMaine AD drops his headache onto the UNH AD, who in turn bails out because a 3rd shift janitor across the street was in contact with an asymptomatic 3rd cousin twice removed during a virtual Zoom sweeping seminar over the Labor Day weekend. In which case, duh, this will need to be postponed.

Question:
Having YouTube TV, and the recent lack of NESN that has been scrubbed from their platform, how does one watch the NESN/NESN+ games living inside of New England? It appears to watch NESN games on the NESN wedsite a TV provider login is needed. Anyone have a solution or a method to ideally watch UNH hockey for free?

The UNH-BC "thing" that used to exist is dead and buried, under the weight of four (4) NC's by Coach York against zero (0) NC's by Coach Umile. They won, we lost, it's obvious, and the old "thing" (can't say "rivalry" when you rarely if ever win the biggest games) died a long time ago. It was fun while BC was suffering with the "1949" taunt on title deprivation like UNH was/still is experiencing, but even if it still persisted after their 2001 title - since UNH was still threatening in their ultimately Sisyphean efforts to finally scale that peak - then BC's 3 more titles out of 5 seasons a decade ago (and UNH's slide into mediocrity) killed it stone dead.
As for the subject of your post, you are spot on. UNH had its shot to be considered on par with the consistent winners but sadly this period was transient for the program. At this point, if I catch a game against a good squad (BU, BC or Michigan for example), I hope the score is respectable and all the elements of a good game are in place.
Hopefully, life and sports start trending more towards normal. It will be fun to get back into a barn and catch a good game.
