Andrew Lucas is the captain for next season. Off the board pick but I'd imagine Woody wanted someone who was gonna be here a while to help set the culture.https://twitter.com/TheVTHockeyBlog

What odds will you give me on the team being there?

I'm honestly lowkey pretty excited for this season. I know we're not going to be good. But we have new faces and fresh ideas, and frankly the weirdness of this year takes even more pressure off. Remember: BC was 11-22-2 in York's first season, Maine in Walsh's was 12-29-1, and UMass in Carvel's was 5-29-2. It won't get better overnight, it's about the direction.
It's going to be a process, the pain of a rebuild is real. I'm not worried about results this year, or even next. Just strive to get better every day, and give us a team and culture that we can be proud of, win or lose.
Side note, Divver had a few Woody quotes on Babcock today:

I'm looking forward to seeing how the change in direction and culture affects this team. Woodcroft maybe an unconventional pick, but I'm excited to see how that plays out. The test in my view will be in HIS recruits over the next few seasons. Identifying talent was one of his purported strengths. Hopefully that holds true. Really hoping for a more offensive style of play as well, it kills me to agree with the BC fans, but Sneddon's defensive nature didn't make for exciting teams to watch.Originally posted by HokydadMaine will be better this year relative to rankings than BC will be this year

Freshman Dovar Tinling was given a "B" rating on NHL Central Scouting's preliminary Players to Watch list. Indicates a 2nd/3rd round candidate.https://twitter.com/TheVTHockeyBlog

The 20-21 schedule is now up on the UVM Athletics website, along with the news that every game will either be broadcast on NESN or streamed for free by ViacomCBS. While this has me quite excited, I have to wonder how this meshes up with the fact just this week the state of VT prohibited travel to the state unless there's a 14 day quarantine. Does this not make it impossible for UVM to host out of state teams and also to travel to play out of state and then return to VT? Does anyone know if they received some sort of exemption from the state? Or is the 20-21 schedule a mirage that will never happen?
