I see the name Lange and I hear the voice of the former Penguins' broadcaster, Mike Lange, in my mind's ear.
"HEEEEEeeee shoots - and - scores! Great balls of fire - he beat him like a rented mule!"
Considering Matthias was a goalie during his playing days, he probably wouldn't have been too fond of that one.

All young assistants have to prove themselves on the road. At the end of the day we really don't have that much insight into their performance and potential. I don't remember anyone doing cartwheels when Moser signed on. In fact, I was hoping for someone outside Smith's coaching tree to broaden our recruiting reach. No matter who coaches and who the players are, our check is on its way to the HFH. We are looking forward to the season. I think by the time it’s ready for puck drop, I am hopeful this wave will be in the rear view, many more will be vaccinated, and GO RED….GO WHITE will once again echo through the FieldHouse. Let’s Go Red.
