I am assuming that Neutral Zone regards their Star ratings as public because they often tweet them with committals.

Not sure if Fawkes is still committed. I noticed that he has nothing associated with RPI on his twitter account. There's no tweet announcing his commitment on his profile nor anything mentioning RPI.

Not surprising if he is no longer a recruit.

As much as it ****es me off when a kid commits and then backs out for what he perceives as a better opportunity, we've had to deal with it as a modern reality and this is the unfortunate flipside. I'd almost be surprised if he is still a recruit because he just hasn't developed. This is what happens when a sport is recruiting 2 or 3 years out and both players and coaches have to make their best guess as to where they will be at enrollment time. When they see things differently sometimes the school gets screwed and sometimes the kid is the unfortunate victim. In a best case scenario it's a mutual agreement that there is no longer a match and both sides go their own way. In this case there's obviously some potential as an NAHL team was clearly high on him based on their comments when they made him a high pick. For some reason, however, he wasn't able to gt on the ice and justify that optimism.

With the glut of players due to COVID some will fall by the wayside. He seems like an obvious candidate because, as you said, he does not appear to have developed. It would not surprise me if he foes to a Canadian school.
