I think it will be a .500 or slightly better season based on the players we have coming back. They should be competitive or at least that's my hope. Just can't see them pushing for a title though.

My hope is that TG actually embraces the different kind of hockey for next year that he mapped out. It does seem like a different tune from his original plan of "we'll just land all ?lite players and when they leave early, we'll get more."

I wonder with BA hanging it up that TG might actually be on a shorter leash with the new AD if they regress to the mean.

I'd hope so. Alvarez ego is the only reason Granato still has a job. Maybe McIntosh is waiting in the wings and will fire Granato as his first big move. If he gets it. Probably not but one can hope.

If you are starting from scratch with a horrible hockey program with no tradition or facilities, then yes it may take 5, 6 7 or 10 years to "rebuild" from the ground up.

But hello. UW is not Bowling Green or Robert Morris. Or the UW that Badger Bob took over. Everything is in place. So ya Granato is a flop and its a waste of time to keep this guy around.

I remember TG essentially forced Cruikshank away, and we all were aghast. That was a lame move. I don't recall the circumstances of Kolischefski not getting to UW.

The “official” story with Cruikshank was the one where he thought he’d be getting more of a scholarship under Eaves but Granato promised him a smaller frat of a full scholarship, yes?

I think that is right on Cruikshank. I don't remember Wiercioch ever getting to the point that Cruikshank was at, but who knows.

I brought up facts in my prior posts (see: talking about the defense improving, offense has never been under 3GF/GP). You ignoring them to fit your agenda is not my problem.

The whole point is going over your head.

You are incapable of productive conversation. You are the the food critic that just says "the food is bad" and not why the food is bad.

It's never:
"30 years of mediocrity and here is how UW should go about changing that..."
"This what UW currently does well and ... is what they should work on."

Let me ask a potentially productive question to everyone since we live in the past: I wasn't born until after Bob Johnson passed away; what did Bob Johnson do more effectively than the current state? Or to rephrase to be more present time: what should Granato be doing to reach Scott Sandelin/Jerry York status? Don't generalize. Be specific.

Hi - Looking for some Badgers jersey help. Does anyone know what games the team wore the white jerseys with the script "Badgers" across the front? They used a MASSIVE thick number font on the back and had arched multi-color names. I believe the team normally wore these special jerseys for their various holiday tourney appearances, but this dates back to either 03-04 or 04-05 right on the edge of digital photography taking over and I can't find any game photos of them. Feel free to message me direct if you like as I don't mean to clutter up your thread, just need some info.
