Great to see! Damon has done a great job the last three years. Lakers have the 11th most wins in the NCAA during that time

Seems likely that we could have at least one non-conference series against somebody in early October prior to the start of conference play.
Hopefully Jeff Jackson is able to get Notre Dame to come to the Soo for a game or two but I doubt that will happen

The Lakers AD Dr. Paitson will be moving on to be a professor at the University of Indianapolis. I will give him kudos for being at LSSU during the resurgence of Lake State hockey and the implementation of the new CCHA. Good luck to him!

Did anyone get a chance to listen and see if he mentioned anything on non-conference opponents / schedule?

No, there was no discussion of the 2021-22 schedule. Union is supposed to play at Lake State Oct 22-23; that's the only non-conference opponent I've heard about so far.

I heard that the season ticket renewal letter said that there will be 19 home games plus 3 playoff games included in the package.

The CCHA schedule shows 14 home games so that leaves 5 non-conference home games. The 2 games with Union seem to be set, so there should be 1 other non-con home series against somebody, plus a single game. The single game would probably be either an exhibition game against a Canadian school or the USNDP, or perhaps a game against Notre Dame.

We should be due for the June edition of the Laker Hockey Show next Tuesday.

the USNDTP (Oct 15) & Notre Dame (Oct 17) are playing a split series at NMU, but Tech is filling the other half with ND on the 15th and US on the 16th.

From the Hockey Show, the Lakers will be playing a series at UM in early October and UM will play in the Soo the following season. (The specific October dates weren't mentioned.) It sounded like we'll also have another non-conference road series in early October against someone. The USNDP will be playing a game in the Soo this coming season.

2021-22 Schedule is out. 4 non-conference series in October. Open on the road at UNO and then UM. Following the CCHA home series against St Thomas in mid-October, Union and St Lawrence will be in the Soo to round out the month. No holiday tournaments.

LSSU has approved the funding for major improvements to their streaming video service. The reported $175,000 will upgrade cameras, switcher, graphics, and other equipment. All should be in place for the start of the 2021-22 season.
