Re: 2019-20 Bemidji State Beavers: WCHA Semifinals Please

This is the first team we have had in a long time that has real offensive firepower. We are always solid defensively but this team is really skilled and has some goal scorers as well. Nice to see.

Congrats Beavers on a good showing in Mankato this weekend, especially the 4-2 win tonight. Great way to finish strong.

This does appear to be the most offensively talented BSU team in the new WCHA era. Good team with the potential to make some noise in March.

Another big sweep against a BG team that we historically have struggled against. What has to happen for us to get an At Large? Would a split against Northern and Minnesota State along with a sweep of Anchorage and loss in the WCHA championship be enough or do we to sweep one of Minnesota State or Northern?

I haven't played with the Pairwise predictor, but the last time I played with it, if the Beavers could have won one of the ties with St.Cloud or beat Minnesota, they would be right around 14-16. Nonconference is killing the Beavers and a lot of times the conference record may not be enough.

Yeah those leads that we couldn’t hold onto against St. Cloud and UND at the beginning of the year really hurt.

Great win for the Beavers. We only had one 2-minute penalty and Mankato had none.

Big win. Another win tomorrow night would just about clinch a tourney birth if we didn't already. This team is really good and with the youthfulness and only losing three seniors, hopefully we can turn this into a sustainable and consistent NCAA tourney team.

Nope. Playing with the Pairwise predictor, a win tonight only gets us up to 8 or 9 (currently 10). A first round loss to Lake Superior State or Anchorage in the WCHA playoffs would most likely drop the Beavers to a bubble team or below. To be safe, you want to be at 12 to eliminate getting knocked out by any upsetting conference tournament winners.
