      • RIT has cancelled all winter sports, including men's and women's hockey.

        It is very sad.

        • They should all just punted this until March and see where things were for all the winter sports that can do major testing.. Play March-May a compressed shortened season.. We might have testing and vaccines going by Jan. so make a decision then

The rest of college hockey isn't waiting for us.

Maybe they should, but that's a different conversation. We're still looking at Q3 2021 from everything I've seen for resumption of regular life, even with the good recent vaccination news.

            • The players are appealing. Wilson supports that decision to appeal.

                      • The letter emailed to season ticket holders made me laugh a little. It talked about not releasing ticket sales information until the schedule is finalized. How in the world do they think there will be tickets to sell any time soon. As it is, they 're awaiting NYS approval to play, which is scary enough (at least RIT isn't a Nursing Home). They don't let anyone into Buffalo Bills games, so what are the odds of allowing anyone into much smaller (and cold), indoor arenas. And what if NY says they can't play (I certainly hope not)? Does that mean NU, Canisius, Army, Clarkson, St. Lawrence and Colgate have to pull the plug as well?

Another serious question if anyone has heard... If the games are not open to fans, will Sportzone consider televising all games?

Can't we all just get along?
Always remember... This is just a game we're talking about here. Let's not take it all too seriously.

Doesn't sound like they're planning on locally televising the home games although IIRC it came together in the last week or so last year too. Hopefully they do. Flohockey's prices are outrageous for coverage that just plain isn't that good. I'll probably stick to radio if the home games aren't televised.

Warning: if you signed up for FloHockey last year, it autorenews, without any warning. They charged me for an entire year and I only figured it out when I looked at my credit card bill. I cancelled two days after they charged me and they still charged me $30. So they charged me $150 and I got $120 back. I did learn, however, that if you cancel, they offer you a $20% off the $150 annual subscription. So if anyone does decide to subscribe this year, if you go partway through the cancellation process on the website and they'll knock $30 off. Still, $120/year is absurd.
