I wonder if Lowell is going to try to grab a goalie via the transfer portal this year, or attempt to go find the next Carter Hutton type floating around somewhere. Can't imagine Bazin is going into next year with Welsch and Nordlund.

I assume they'll need to add a goaltender. BC (Mitch Benson, Colgate) and PC (Austin Roden, Omaha) grab goaltenders out of the portal. Northeastern's T.J. Semptimphelter just entered, he looked pretty good for the Huskies in limited action. Kyle McClellan (Mercyhurst) put up decent numbers for the Lakers this season. Both goalie's have multiple years of eligibility.

and if you're the Kings, do you want your development people working with a kid with that size and ability, or do you want him to stay in the same program he's been in for 3 years? You want your people to work with him on his skating and using his size.

I don't know. All I know is I'd like to see him still around. That's my bias. I'm not saying LA didn't do the right thing.

It's updated constantly. 4 new players added today, including a kid from North Attleboro who just finished his first year at UConn. He was the 134th ranked North American skater by the CSB just a year ago (prior to last year's draft). He's the 5th from UConn to get into the portal (only one will be a senior next year).

reddit college hockey is often far better at updates than the fan forum is... a lot of that is this current forum software sucks. There's like 6-7 active people with Lowell avatars over there

It looks like that team was Lowell, and he has committed to coming here. I'd imagine this means Savory is moving on.

Side note - I'm kind of enjoying this transfer portal "hot stove", it's a little excitement to follow the end of the season.
