The season is over for Jonathan Horn and Lee Parks as Vernon was eliminated from the BCHL playoffs. Parks led his team in scoring in the playoffs and in the regular season.

NZ was at the final game of the series and had this to say about his play. I assume he'll play another year of juniors.

Parks is a clearly skilled offensive winger. Has a remarkably accurate shot to go along with some magic hands. Could be better defensively but his game is based on his acute sense of what is happening on the ice in the offensive zone. All-in-all a deadly player who possesses good size elite-level skill and smooth skating. Scored a nice and important goal tonight on a breakaway showcasing his speed and hands in tight on the goalie. With a little flick of the wrist, Parks had the goalie fooled and was able to go forehand backhand shelf for the opening goal of the night.

121 games played for Peterson at Holy Cross, with 18 goals and 55 points. And as already pointed out, 25 years old (today actually). If Lowell makes a deep run next year into the NCAA Tournament, he will be 26 years old, potentially playing against 19 year old kids. Yikes.

I mean no disrespect to the kid but it’s a bit underwhelming for our first (hopefully) portal acquisition.

I hope he makes me eat crow next year.

I thought he looked good this year when he played. But injuries kept him out, and I think Bazin also sat him a bit.

I agree this was a down year for him. However he is the most polished skater on the team and has a gasoline shot. Hope he stays!
