I don't really understand why that is, but man it's got to be discouraging.

For those of you going to Friday's NMU game at BG, the start time has been changed to 6:07 PM due to bouncy ball vs Kent State being televised on CBS Sports at 9:00 PM.

Rev's (right next to Stone's Throw) is our pre-game hangout - one of the better places in town for craft brews. Since Myles closed, the best pizza in town is now up for debate but try 516 Pizza Pub. It's probably the closest to what Myles used to offer. The kids swear by the Campus Pollyeyes stuffed breadsticks. If you're looking for a venue for your Untappd Dive Bar badge, Brathaus is in a class by itself. It hasn't changed much in 40 years.

Students are on break until the end of January so you'll have the town to yourselves. If you venture up to Toledo (less than 30-minute drive) some downtown spots to check out are The Blarney and, of course, Tony Packo's (especially if you're old enough to remember M*A*S*H). Both of these are right by the Huntington Center/Fifth-Third Field complex. The original Packo's is across the river on Front Street but the downtown location is less sketchy for an out-of-towner. The Toledo Museum of Art is, surprisingly, one of the better art museums in the US. Save yourself some time and don't bother venturing over to the University. If you put all the chithole universities in a single room they would all agree that the University of Toledo is, without question, the chitholiest of them all.

It's game week! We have tickets for the Sat game, NMU @ BGSU (my daughter is currently a sophomore at Northern & my wife and I met while we went there (cough) a while ago). We are living near Fort Wayne, IN right now, but haven't been to BGSU yet for hockey.

So, my question is, any recommendations for a pregame dinner? Any reason to get to town early - i.e., anything we should see in Bowling Green or the surrounding area? Thanks in advance and looking forward to seeing a new rink...

"Well, there was no funny play, but two of those teams faced off with No. 4 Clarkson earning a two-game road sweep of Michigan Tech to enter the break with a 12-3-2 mark." I wasn't aware that a tie and a win constitute a sweep now.

"Indeed, Moise scored four times, twice each on Friday and Saturday, to help his team (Ferris State) earn a much-needed sweep of Alabama Huntsville." UAH won the shootout on Friday night, which means in no way could Ferris get a sweep.

    Get it sorted out.
who is Jim Connelly and why do I care what he says?
