NCAA Tourney Team Selection Options

The WCHA getting 4 would not go over well in Big Ten, HE. I just don't see it happening. They should be positively thrilled with getting 3 in.

Which teams from the B1G or HE could claim to be a deserving 4th? Notre Dame, outside of splitting with Minnesota & Michigan, didn't do much else. They split with ASU in both their series', ASU got beat by almost everyone else in the B1G, and only got a tie out of 4 games with Wisconsin, and lost once each to MSU, OSU and PSU. Not sure how they'd be considered NCAA tourney worthy? Who would be worthy in HE? Providence? lol They lost to some pretty lowly teams.

Way more comfortable with BG getting in if NMU doesn't win their Conf tourney.

Northern vs Bemidji and LSSU in their last two meetings were some dynamite games, with one exception (NMU 3-1, one OT win-one OT loss vs LSSU, and one OT win- 5-1 win over Bemidji). If NMU keeps playing the way they have been playing, tomorrow should be some great hockey, regardless of who wins tonight. Can't hide from the one stinker they put up against BGSU last weekend, but you have to be impressed with their two most recent games.
Looking forward to tonights game vs LSSU and Bemidji and a great hockey game tomorrow. Good luck to all.

LOL, no one who follows SCSU has any right judging a Gopher fan. No insanity involved, just because SCSU NEVER produced an Olympian, or a Hall of Famer, much less an NCAA title gamer, this makes them Gopher haters, for the most part. It's what LOSERS do. I mean, we stole their coach, why would they like us? Their Arena is named after a "Gopher" legend, not an SCSU legend(is there such a thing? lol).

I do support the hockey culture in our state and I know it isn’t tied to one school. Based on your primitive takes, I won’t even assume you graduated from that university. And I won’t rip on it because I know a good number of people who did who are capable of cognitive reasoning unlike yourself.

Nothing you listed in your long line of incoherent rants matters but for what it is worth, SCSU has had multiple Olympians. Still striving for a National title but enjoy our old coach who couldn’t get it done. Not likely to change btw but the guy behind our bench has been a part of getting it done recently. I like our chances with that guy a lot better.

No, I am not JDubbs, but you are not the first to make that idiotic assumption. I am also not pokechecker, I am fredsdeadfriend, always have been, always will be. This is totally the question. There isn't any other good choice. Wisconsin might actually be the 4th best team. I don't envy the committee with this situation.

Also, roughly, I am getting something like this, now:

#1s: NoDak, Minn, BC, Mankato (in that order)
#2s: Wisc, SCSU, Mass, Quinn (where the first 3 are roughly even to me, and QU is a distant #8 overall)
#3s: BU, LSSU (have to have them ahead of BSU now, I think - although BSU has better results against Mankato), Mich, UMD
#4s: AIC, HEA #4, WCHA #3 (NMU or BSU), NCHC #4 (DU or Omaha)

And, I am stumbling against this question:
Putting all teams with no flight into Fargo yields something like this:
NoDak, Wisc or SCSU, UMD, NMU/BSU
Now, I don't mind the Fighting Hawks playing NMU or BSU in round 1. That seems right (even though traditionally they would get AIC, maybe). What seems weird is the 2nd/3rd band game. They get either the strongest or 2nd strongest #2, and I would estimate also the strongest or 2nd strongest #3 (UMD). And, there doesn't seem a good way to change this.

Also, this bracket requires Mankato go to Loveland, because the Loveland #1 gets Denver or Omaha, and surely one would seed those 2 teams stronger matchups than PC or UConn or AIC. Thus, I am guessing at this point that Minnesota goes to Albany.

I think if I had to do a ranking right now, it would go:
NoDak, Minn, BC, Mankato....
Wisco, SCSU, Mass, Quinn....
UMD, Mich, BU, LSSU
DU/Omaha, AIC, HEA #4, BSU/NMU
