Also, does ESPN pick the times? UND playing in the late game Friday night when most coaches want that earlier game.

I am assuming this is COVID related but there are bigger gaps in between the start times of these regional semifinal games than there normally is.

Perhaps. They'd have to move the regional from Fargo to Rhode Island, but they'd have a chance. ; )

We'll never really know but if that last team in was going to play BC, the committee could have disregarded Providence to avoid a HE first round game. As I said, there's really no crying from any of these bubble teams. And especially from Providence who has benefited on multiple occasions in recent years. Record wise maybe Bowling Green could have slid in to that spot but it's just a coin flip.

I haven't heard any post-selection analysis, but I would suppose the only thing interesting is Notre Dame instead of Providence, right?

    14. Nebraska Omaha

It's basically the same distance to Albany and Bridgeport. I had them in Albany but that was assuming QU would be in Bridgeport. The NCAA has money to burn.

Outside of Notre Dame getting in, this looks like a fair and fun bracket. Seriously, did the committee think they are still in Hockey East?

They avoided putting first and second place teams from the same conference in the same region. Yeah, I guess not with BC/BU but with UMass winning their tournament, I’d say it was better to not have BC and UMass in the same region.

Lots of games between teams that don’t normally play each other. This should be interesting and fun.

My guess is Bc is in Albany cause they’re allowing fans. Probably wanted the top two seeds to be able to have fans?

    No reseeding.

UND vs Wisconsin region. BC vs Minnesota region.
