Mike McMahon tweeted that MC cancelled their season due to one positive test. They apparently were told by the state of MA theyhad to shut it all down. There has still only been one positive test. If this is true all Massachusetts based teams are in severe jeopardy of their season being cancelled at this point.

That is utterly absurd if true and makes very little sense to issue such an edict now when a season has been played during stretches where the COVID situation was much worse than what it is right now. I honestly have a hard time believing it's true.

It's completely insane that college teams get tons of scrutiny and yet you go into a restaurant to get takeout and see tons of people jammed together not wearing masks.

My guess is the reason teams are forced to shutdown is every other player on the team is considered a 'close contact' and has to quarantine for 10 days or whatever.

Too strict. If you can get x amount of negative tests in before a game, let the team play. Especially now when the teams have come this far, people are being vaccinated etc. Thumbs up to Denver and the state of Colorado.

You're making the assumption that masks actually work. Florida seems to indicate otherwise.

Bentley just beat Air Force 7-3 in Waltham on Tuesday night in the AHA PBMBEGAM round, but the campus went into COVID lock down today in an attempt to slow a surge in positive cases on campus to avoid all students being sent home like what happened last March. Hockey team scheduled to play at AIC in Springfield this Friday and Saturday nights in best 2 out of 3, but wondering if it will still happen.
