    Re: 2019 USCHO Pairwise Predictor

    Why flip ASU and OSU?
Is OSU going to make that big of an attendance difference in Allentown?

Didn't realize Quinnipiac was within 3 hours of Allentown. Ya I agree with that bracket. Maybe the easiest one I can remember.

    Code:
    	Manchester	Providence	Allentown	Fargo
    	Mass Mankato Duluth St Cloud
    	Clarkson	Northeastern	Quinnipiac	Denver
Notre Dame	Cornell Ohio State	ASU
    	Harvard Providence	BGSU AIC
Perfect serpentine bracket except the OSU/ASU swap, which is a 9 and a 10

I'm assuming Providence is going to Providence, and Ohio State and Arizona State flip for attendance reasons. The only other changes I had to make were to avoid inter-conference matchups.
    Can UMass play Providence?

Regardless, the committee doesn't need to blow up the brackets. Keep a classic serpentine pattern as much as possible. If UMD wins, the only switch is (10) ASU and (9) OSU. If SCSU wins the only switches are that and the necessary (15) BGSU and (14) Harvard change.

NCHC going to a second overtime.
I think recent history suggests reasonable effort to get people to the games. That's the reason we think PC stays in town, right?
the typical bracketing 8/9, 7/10, 6/11, 5/12 holds here except for ASU and OSU swapping. That makes the matchups:
    QU/OSU
    NU/Cornell
    Clarkson/NoDame
    As I said.

I don't know the eastern fan bases, so I can't predict what will happen here.
    There are these facts:
Cornell is a 180 mile drive to Allentown.
Clarkson is also less than a 400 mile drive from Allentown. In fact, the mileages are 280, 360, and 340 to the 3 places. One would at least say that Clarkson/ND to Allentown is less inconvenient than other things.

Which #3 seed draws better at Allentown? Notre Dame, Cornell or Ohio State?

    The 2/3 matchups will be:

    QU/OSU

No expert, because no one can read the committee's minds. But, when ASU is obviously a 'west' team, and is the #10 seed, and thus it doesn't require much adjustment, to put them in Fargo.....Coupled with Denver being their nearest opponent in the entire NCAA (barring CC). It's just hard to see anything besides a Den/ASU game in Fargo.
