Yes. Hopefully the committee does this.

Worry about getting past Arizona State. After that you can be concerned about where PC is playing.

I am surprised none of these guys are predicting a simple ASU/OSU swap.

    East Regional (Providence, RI):
    3. Minnesota State vs. 14. Providence
    7. Quinnipiac vs. 10. Arizona State

    Midwest Regional (Allentown, PA):
    2. Minnesota Duluth vs. 15. Bowling Green
    6. Northeastern vs. 11. Cornell

    West Regional (Fargo, ND):
    1. St. Cloud State vs. 16. American International
    8. Denver vs. 9. Ohio State

It actually might make sense to switch QU/ASU and Cornell/Northeastern. You get two teams with venues closer to their home base as opposed to just one with Northeastern. Cornell is 3 hours from Allentown while Quinnipiac is under 2 to Providence. Cornell is 5 hours plus to Providence while Quinnipiac is 3 hours to Allentown. Would suck for Northeastern fans but might be better to get more fans of two teams as opposed to just 1.

[QUOTE=J.D.;6785243]The committee will have even more reason to place Providence in Providence even though they aren't deserving. It matches bracket integrity wise and UMass can't play them. Sucks for Minnesota State but this is still a lot different from playing at Schneider arena.

I would agree with anyone who says that Providence College is lucky to be in the tournament and that if things had broken different in one or two games they might be sitting at home but being realistic anyone who's been to any one of the regionals knows that if there is no local team then you don't have a shot of getting decent attendance. Harvard played down the street in Providence in the NCAA recently and I could have invited all of the Crimson faithful who attended back to my hotel room and had plenty of room to sit down. If I was being totally honest there is a certain number of die-hard PC hockey fans that will go watch Providence play at the Dunkin Donuts Center and the rest will be basketball fans that have nothing else to do this time of year.

Maybe but you have a better chance of Ohio State fans in Allentown over Fargo.
