The article said Jeff was 68 years old and decided to retire. Duke who has an illness is 58 or 59 years old.

any D1 assistants ready for a HC position? i don't see them plucking a current D1 HC, or hiring a current D3 HC. but i would say that matt curley would be a possibility depending how things go at UAA...

i will also say that chris brooks at tech could be a candidate... current assistant with huge success as a HC at D3 wisco-SP...

Brooks also was pretty good at Western as well. I could also see Minnesota State’s Todd Knott as a very strong candidate. I’d probably make him the favorite if he chooses to pursue the opportunity. NMU’s Byron Pool would also be a strong candidate, as would UMD’s Derek Plante.

If he’s interested in the job I’d be shocked if Todd Knott isn’t their pick.
