And the proposed schedule is out. 2 Divisions for ECAC. They are int he New York Division and will play home and home series on the weekend. This limits the exposure each weekend to one team. Let's hope they make it work.

"With today’s announcement that the Liberty League has cancelled league winter competition and championships, we regret to announce that Union has made the very difficult decision to cancel intercollegiate athletics competition for our basketball, swimming & diving, and indoor track & field teams this season. ECAC hockey league members continue to engage in discussions and are aiming for decisions on the upcoming season in mid-November."

I don't think the Ivy's will allow it. At the rate, it is spreading in colleges in the Northeast, I don't see it happening this year. Maybe without fans?

"In other news, Sean Farrell had two goals and an assist, but it was not enough as the Chicago Steel dropped a 10-8 decision to the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the opening game of the USHL season opener Saturday.

Farrell, who was the Canadiens’ fourth-round pick this year, has committed to Harvard University and was playing in the USHL to get some ice time before the college season began. Those plans have changed because the Ivy League announced that it was cancelling all winter sports and Farrell will remain with the Steel.

The Ivy League decision creates a serious problem for the ECAC hockey league because six of its 12 member schools are Ivies."

UNION RELEASES UPDATE ON 2020-21 ICE HOCKEY SEASON
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Union College will not participate in intercollegiate men's and women's ice hockey competition during the 2020-21 school year, the College announced on Tuesday afternoon.

"This was an incredibly difficult and disappointing decision that we had to make in the best interest of our entire community, a decision that I was heartbroken to deliver to our student-athletes earlier today," said Director of Athletics Jim McLaughlin '93. "The pandemic continues to affect all aspects of our daily lives and unfortunately intercollegiate athletics, like many other extracurricular pursuits that students are passionate about on our campus, is not immune."

Adams to Providence: https://***********/J_Danglefest2/st...88651519950848 I know some Union fans who had privately concluded that Adams was transferring some time ago, and Providence was the likely target. Most people are aware that his brother, who passed away a couple of years ago, was on PC's 2015 championship team. The Schenectady Daily Gazette is reporting that Jack Adams will wear his brother's old number at PC.
