Nice interview! I like this paragraph in particular:

"I want to especially thank the Coaches of the Men’s Hockey team at the University of New Hampshire. Coach Mike Souza and Assistant Jeff Giuliano were very helpful in finding a suitable United State Hockey (USHL) team where I will be spending the next season in the USA before I enroll at the university in Fall, 2022."

      • Watching the highlights again, and boy he is a quick and elusive skater. He can pivot in many directions, and change directions on a pin. At 73rd in Central Scouting Euro list, he's not a top prospect, which bodes well for us. I guess his straight ahead speed may not be elite, but his ability to pressure defense and find a seam is super. Will look forward to seeing him in the USHL.

        • Jack Ring, a forward who scored 8 goals, 21 assists in 57 games this season for the New Jersey Titans, will play in the NAHL Top Prospects game. He’s listed as uncommitted so won’t be playing for UNH next season. He’s in his last year of junior eligibility.

          • Doesn't sound like Rickwood is coming

Some in the hockey world are surprised that Rickwood hasn’t signed with an NCAA school. Rickwood said he has had interest from more than 30 schools but he wants to visit campuses before making his choice.

“I just feel visits are so important because it’s going to be a really important four years of my life,” said Rickwood.

His sister, Emily, choose the University of New Hampshire after her visit.

Rickwood said he has a plan regardless of whether he gets drafted by an NHL team.

“You never know but my plan right now is to go to Victoria for another year and then go to school,” he said.

Rickwood said he wants to keep improving.

“If I can make a living playing hockey, that’s what I want to do,” he said.

“The NHL is the end goal. That’s been the dream all along.”

Yes, but the thing is, if you get quality kids, even if they leave early, they elevate the program and new talented kids replace them.

Interesting looking at my line charts, having Evans on the fourth line. I obviously am a big fan, and probably could see him on the second line ahead of Cafarelli. It really is only a matter of which one matures earlier, and Cafarelli has a year ahead of him. But both could improve the Grasso/Kelleher black holes on the right side.

According to multiple sources, Jim Madigan set to become new Athletic Director at Northeastern. Jerry Keefe will be promoted to head coach of @GoNUmhockey. Expect official announcement in the next few hours. Jeff Cox (@JeffCoxSports)

Edit: should have seen it coming when NU's AD moved on.
