Thanks for the heads up, Mike.

Dan especially should be very pleased.

A little reminiscent of Steve Saviano and Sean Collins from Reading High, one can hope?

Very pleased, rather surprised. Watcher is the one who will be over the moon. A legit and gifted scoring forward, who can both finish and lift those around him, in the production mold of a Poturalski or Kelleher...

Which would make them by far the smallest tag team in WWF/E history...

If light weight, maybe they are speedy?

Alright! Good news, on two fronts. First, getting Evans, in his own right, is a nice get. In terms of talent level, he's a likely four year guy, and I'd put him as a more talented Charlie Kelleher/Steve Moses/Saviano. (Tyler Kelleher and Collins were a level above these guys),
The kind that puts pressure on the other team because he can turn a turnover into transition offense. As noted, both he and Ardanaz are slight, and as a package, probably both will spend another year in the BCHL. I imagine even after another year, Evans will have a transition freshmen year, not a "step in right away" sort of kid.

And that gets to the second front-- the signalling. For some reason, UNH has missed a couple of layup recruits the past few years -- worrisome to me. Gildon's brother, Steve Morrow's son,. Getting the second half of the Ardanaz deal is a vote of confidence, and having both develop their game in BC will maybe help spread the word that UNH is moving in the right direction. Like following the Sox and seeing Bogarts/Betts/Benintendi at Pawtucket, you can anticipate the impact on the team. None of the recruits other than Gildon to date really provided such a landmark for us to anticipate a wave. While these two are not transformative in themselves, they are definite momentum. So, even if next year continues to be a 5-8 HE finish, the 2021 class -- including Sacco -- looks like UNH might get back to the 1-4 finishes, and that's a story they can sell, and if it creates a more-robust pipeline out there, as other BCHL players see them in the All-Star game and on the All-BCHL team next year, so much the better.

Lastly, in terms of style, as noted, Ardanaz and Evans, and Carfagna and Penney are smaller players. After a couple of years where we heard that UNH needed to get bigger, leading to Wyse and Maass, they seem to be changing philosophy somewhat.

                        It's definitely gotten my attention.

As 'Watcher intimates, perhaps some momentum, and a base for more ambitious recruiting to come ...

Gildon's brother was never in play Watcher. Grandfather is large part of the family and he lives in Columbus and we were lucky that Max came to UNH. I am happy that we are doing well with our current recruits.

In today's society Grandparents have become a huge part of their grandchildren's lives. The children that have both parents working full-time may not have the opportunity to follow their passions if not for a grandparent. For a person to become really good at something they need to put in a lot of time at it. If it is a sport they are passionate about they will need to put in a lot of time developing their overall athleticism and their sport specific skills. It does not matter if it is soccer, hockey or volleyball. There are a few fortunate children that have a Grandparent or two that are willing and happy to step in when the parents can not. There are a few athletes that reach the highest level of their sport because of Grandparents. Here is to all of the Grandparents that alter, sacrifice and give so much of their time to their Grandchildren!!!
