SURREAL seems to be the word to describe the abrupt end to the last hockey season and the beginning of the upcoming one. Before Thanksgiving, which i hope was a happy and healthy day for all of you, DU Hockey began a countdown to the first game. Took me by surprise! And now I can't even find the pad I have used for each annual countdown for the past 4 or 5 years.
Since DU's first game is December 2, less than a week away a player by player number countdown seems out of place.
In case you hadn't heard the Chancellor has confirmed we are the DU Pioneers.
GO PIOS!

NCHC announces new play-off format. All 8 teams in a one game elimination format in Grand Forks
As of today, Pios have the best record (2-2) against #2 UND . Winless against both #1 Duluth and #3 St Cloud (0-2). Not to forget DU would have to beat Omaha to even face a top 3 team,
Unless…. Western Michigan gets hot and knocks the Pios down to #6!
GO DU !!!
