It's entirely possible that HEA could come in during Princeton's finals week. They do have an odd number of teams now. Of course, you have 9 against HEA, so maybe that's UMASS.

I think UMass is a home & home series likely Thanksgiving weekend.

My guess is our first 5 will be BC, BU, UVM, NU x2. Pecknold stressed that we opened with 5 games against HEA opponents all likely to be ranked to start the season.

That would certainly disqualify UMASS, and we already know Maine's in December.

That's probably a likely good guess given that have played that weekend in the past. Also look for Princeton to be December 15-16 weekend.

              Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2017 Off-Season

Found the notes I scribbled at the banquet...

Rand said "we open with 5 games against Hockey East teams likely to start the season ranked".

Home games with BU, UVM, UMass, Maine x2

Away games at BC, NU x2, UMass, ASU x2, UConn

That makes UMass the home & home likely at Thanksgiving, so NU should be 10/20-10/21. Just leaves the single game @ UConn which will likely be a Tuesday game at the XL.

Including Princeton, I think I count 33 games (16H 17A), That would leave room for one more home game? Be nice to break up that 10 game 2 month road stretch. Maybe an ecac weekend will flip. That's a tough stretch with ASU followed immediately with a trip to the north country.

                  Nice profile of Petruzzelli

I like this line the best

As Quinnipiac University’s first recruit to ever be ranked No. 1 on any professional list, Petruzzelli is arguably the highest ranked prospect to ever commit to the program.

I pieced together some of the schedule today with 8 games missing. Home games in bold. 10 straight road games in January to early Feb. There has to be something at home to break that stretch up.
From Maine here and was going to ask about your schedule games versus Maine...the ticket office at Maine sent me that QU was coming to Maine on DEC.8/9....but that has to be a mistake on there part (UMaine)...as it would not make sense that QU comes to Maine 2 seasons in a row...so figure your source on that is Maine will be at your rink come December. Ok and glad I saw your POST. Thanks.

Boy, this kid's going to come to Hamden with some big-time expectations. Is he one of the best prospects in school history?

You never know with goalies in the NHL draft but it sure seems likely he will be the highest picked prospect to play at QU.

Most likely a 2-and-done... hopefully we can ride that horse hard and make the best of it. Of course, he can't so it alone so the team needs to be stout in front of him.
