    ....like I was saying about the purists (see bold) - most of the hockey world understands the newness of the market and moves on. If you feel better denigrating them, go for it.

    It's not about college purism.     Seems like a lot of the, “talking-heads”, are infatuated with the chants coming from the Nashville fans as if they’ve never heard anything like it. Here’s a suggestion from the HC of the Nepean Raiders (CCHL)......

    It seems like a smart move. Kids are committing at younger ages so the staff needs relationships with lower-level junior and prep coaches. By the time guys are in the USHL, BCHL, etc. the best ones are already committed. If they can attract coaches from some of the better NY/NJ/NE pipeline schools and programs it may pay off, albeit in 3+ years.
