We don’t have to decide what to do about a CCHA Belt until the fall, but I am interested in hearing any opinions on it. The simplest thing, and in my opinion what should be done, is just to carry over the existing WCHA Belt. The only problem would be if UAH has the WCHA Belt at the end of this season. In that case a new CCHA Belt would be started which would eventually be unified with the existing WCHA belt.

There are, however, other possibilities. We could use the existing CCHA Belt which has been contended by the schools which were in the CCHA when it folded. Again, a new Belt might have to be started if it is held by one of the schools that went to the AHA. That is rather unlikely because of lack of interleague play this season. (BTW, I will have to bring the CCHA Belt and the other Belts which I do not post up to date because I have not updated them this season. That should be quite easy.)

We could also just start a new CCHA Belt from scratch without consideration of who has the WCHA Belt at the end of this season.

Those are all the possibilities which I could think of. There may be others.
