Tam's in stable condition and is expected to be released from the hospital tomorrow morning.
Cormier should be suspended for the rest of the season, but I fear that it won't even be that long. Criminal charges would be great, but I can't really see that panning out. Not much new - they do say, "indefinite suspension".
"The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League has suspended Rouyn-Noranda Huskies' forward Patrice Cormier indefinitely for his hit on Quebec Remparts' defenseman Mikael Tam which occurred during Sunday's game.

Absolutely horrible.
The cheap shot during the exhibition game against Sweden was bad enough, but this is just despicable.
I hope he's banned from the league for AT LEAST the rest of the season.
Hopefully Tam has a complete recovery.
