I'm sure what you say is true. Just puzzled at why the SID and/or other powers that be aren't more pro-active/out in front on behalf of the two NU kids the way Union and others are for their respective players. Credible Hobey candidates and, by extension, the program itself would seem to fit your reference to deserved exposure. I'm just not seeing much from my perch.

Maine road games will tell us a lot about his mindset going into playoffs. If he has finally found it.. (hopefully).. watch out

    Go Huskies

The SID is Matt Houde, who does a very good job. I've thought maybe I should do marketing over medicine, but it's really just a hobby for me. Medicine is my calling. I'm just passionate about NU hockey and want it to do well/get exposure it deserves when it deserves it. I appreciate the sentiment though

Great news, thanks for the update. Over my 11 years of watching this team, they've been extremely Jekyll and Hyde in Orono so Johnny would certainly help.

That scenario isn't too dificult, it only requires NU getting equal points to UNH (or better) and one more point than Merrimack (or better). So NU getting 3 points and two splits would do it. Not out of the question.

    1 pointt- 7th-9th
    0 points- 8th-9th

That's not to say NU can't help themselves by winning. Obviously every point they pick up gives them better odds. Just that the scenarios exist for them to get 3 points and fall to 9th or to get 0 points and still get home ice. The series' to watch (besides NU-Maine) are UNH-UConn and Merrimack-Vermont.
My ideal situation sees us getting at least one win with UNH-UConn splitting (keeping them both behind us) and Merrimack getting swept, vaulting us to 7th and playing UConn in round 1 at Matthews. That is the most ideal situation for NU at this stage I believe, given the past weekend. UNH has scored over 100 goals this season- about 20 more than UConn or Merrimack. They have also allowed over 100 goals, but I do not want to test that offense. Merrimack. has been on fire lately, recently beating BU twice, BC @ BC, and coming back from 3-0 and 2-0 deficits vs Maine @ Merrimack's rink. I'd take my chances with UConn again, if I had the choice.

Jim has a knack for doing the right things in terms of the way he treats people. It's one of the reasons he's built up such a store of goodwill over the years.
