The best thing that happened to UND in the post-season was losing and tying in its conference tournament. It turned out to be a helluva wake-up call because they just ran over everyone after that. NU just happened to be first in line.

      POY: Ryan Fitzgerald, BC
      COY: Jerry York, BC
      ROY: Joe Woll, BC
      Best Goalie: Joe Woll, BC

Standings (1-11 or 12 depending on if you count Notre Dame):
      1. BC
      2. Notre Dame
      3. PC
      4. Merrimack
      5. UML
      6. BU... Jack Eichel is not walking through that door. Sucks to BU.
      7. UMass
      8. UNH
      9. UConn
      10. Maine
      11. VT
      12. NU

Conference Tournament Championship: NU. After a 2-34-0 start, they make the NCAA's! Whoop, whoop!
National Tournament teams: NU (3 win auto bid), BC, ND, BU (not sure how... The Parker Foundation bribed the committee?)
Coach Firing/retiring: Jeff Jackson leaves for the B1G.

I think the BC hockey blogger hacked FiveHole12's account.

I'm guessing he chose Merrimack because he's showing allegiance to the other 3 Catholic schools.

For whatever reason I was browsing conference schedules and take a look UMass. If they lose more than 3 games in OOC (4 if you account for their assured loss to Lowell at Tsongas in OOC) it would be pretty embarassing

                2x CC
                1x Army
                1x QU
                1x Princeton
                2x ASU
                1x AIC
                1x Hunstville
Then tournaments with likely opponents of QU and Minnesota.

When given the chance to avoid weighing the conference down PWR......... well I guess we'll see.

Contrast with UNH OOC schedule, some real iron there:

Yes, my predictions are in jest. But when you look at it on paper, not that far fetched.

POY:... Fitzgerald was 2nd in total pts last season, and #1 is gone. A seasoned vet... Fitz has improved year over year. I see the possibility of a Chris Collins like season for him as a senior.
COY: York lost a TON of talent to early departures. Here they are...
Steve Santini D Boston College Jr. New Jersey (NHL) 1-18-19 (41)
Miles Wood F Boston College Fr. New Jersey (NHL) 10-25-35 (37)
Alex Tuch F Boston College So. Minnesota (NHL) 18-16-34 (40)
Adam Gilmour F Boston College Jr. Minnesota (NHL) 12-14-26 (41)
Thatcher Demko G Boston College Jr. Vancouver (NHL) 27-8-4, 1.88, .935
Ian McCoshen D Boston College Jr. Florida (NHL) 6-15-21 (40)
Zach Sanford F Boston College So. Washington (NHL) 13-26-39 (41)
                          Read more: http://www.uscho.com/pro-signings-2016/#ixzz4J37h4fdf

If his team even competes for the top slot, or comes close, he absolutely has to be considered as COY.

ROY: Woll... why not? Who else?
Best Goalie: Petersen is the odds on favorite by a wide margin. But some of my predictions have to come true for the Eagles to even compete for the top 4 this season, and Woll stepping up as a frosh is not out of the question. York has brought in some stud goaltenders over the years. Hoping for another.

#6 BU: Show me the money.

That all being said, the Eagles could just as easily swap slots with NU at #12. But we've got Jerry, and they've got a historically very slow starting team under Mad Again. I'll put my money on Jerry.

I would say yes, but remember that BC brings back more goals than anyone else in Hockey East. Lost very little to graduation. I think they will be in the mix. BU lost 3 of their top 4 scorers and their top scoring defenseman to graduation. The Woll/Oettinger competition will be fun to watch and will have a lot to do with these two teams' fates.

BC returns 79 goals, 45 in Hockey East. NU returns 106 and 62. BC doesn't have much returning scoring after the big three. Gaudreau and C. Fitzgerald had 4 goals, Calnan 3, Brown 2. Obviously White, Cango, and Fitzgerald are a ton of returning goals. but they alone aren't more than every other team.
