Regina Pats expanding their reach into U.S. territory

The Pats are also keeping tabs on three list players who’ve committed to U.S. programs: Defenceman Cory Babichuk of Edmonton (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute), defenceman Scott Perunovich of Hibbing, Minn. (University of Minnesota-Duluth) and centre Trevor Janicke of Maple Grove, Minn. (University of Notre Dame).

Since we know so little about him, I suppose that it is good that Regina is paying attention to CB, but combined with the fact that he wasn't one of the 6 players that Sherwood Park put on the roster, it is some cause for concern.

Jon Bendorf was drafted #23 in the first round by Wichita Falls. I didn't expect that.

Wichita Falls must think they can sign Jon Bendorf since they picked him in the first round. I wonder if Madison (USHL) doesn't want JB or JB doesn't want to go there.

The NAHL draft has concluded. Jon Bendorf was the only current RPI commit who was drafted.

Jacob Modry is not on the Lincoln Stars' main camp roster! http://lincolnstars.com/wp-content/u...oster-grey.pdf Several other LA Jr. Kings are there including two other defensemen.

I wonder if he was given a pass. I would expect a 5th-round draft choice to be invited. It is also, of course, possible that he will be playing elsewhere in the upcoming season.


Edit: Actually none of Lincoln's early choices appear to be there. That does include Europeans who likely would not attend. I didn't check the later rounds.
