hey, mookie no believe the goofs are winning the bi6 to take that autobid. but the usual protocol at this point is to assign the league leaders to that spot.

Many thanks to Jimmy Connelly for cluing me in on this scenario:
Vermont > Northeastern in Hockey East Championship + No upset AQ winners = 7 Hockey East teams in the tournament. Further, the teams would be ranked such that first round intra-conference games are not required.

St Paul: 1 North Dakota v Vermont, Boston U v Harvard
Albany: 4 Providence v Michigan Tech, Boston C v Yale
Cincinnati: 3 St Cloud v Northeastern, Denver v Notre Dame
Worcester: 2 Quinnipiac v Robert Morris, Michigan v Lowell

This also works in certain scenarios where Vermont defeats Lowell in the final.

Not having Duluth in is a crime, because out of all these teams, they have played the best hockey the last 6 weeks.
I'm sure there is a scenario they don't make it but I can't find it.

Why do you have Northeastern in and not Duluth? Duluth has higher Pairwise and RPI and are still in their conference tourney just like northeastern so how would they jump up?

Duluth has a 3rd place game they can lose... no 3rd place game in Hockey East

Exactly. I am running scenarios as if every game has already been played and posting the results. That's how we already know who is in the tournament and who isn't.
