With the former Sioux in Cincy attendance is not an issue there. The two east regionals will be lightly attended no matter how you slice them, so why bother?

      East Regional (Albany):
      14 Minnesota-Duluth vs. 4 Providence
11 Harvard vs. 5 Boston College

      Northeast Regional (Worcester):
      16 RIT vs. 1 Quinnipiac
      10 Yale vs 8 Massachusetts-Lowell

      Midwest Regional (Cincinnati):
13 Northeastern vs. 3 North Dakota
12 Notre Dame vs. 6 Denver

      West Regional (St. Paul):
15 Ferris State vs. 2 St. Cloud State
9 Boston University vs. 7 Michigan
Harvard is the only eastern team that wouldn't have a good chunk of fans. Not sure how you decided the east regionals will be lightly attended.

If QU gets Albany, Rand Pecknold will likely demand that The Pope moves Easter to Monday. I would rather see the Friday Saturday matchup as well, no way can I attend on Easter.

Albany - Quinnipiac, Lowell, Yale, RIT

Worcester - Providence, Boston College, Harvard, Minnesota-Duluth

Cincinnati - North Dakota, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ferris State

St. Paul- St. Cloud State, Denver, Boston University, Northeastern
Close, but you need to move SCSU to Cinci and UND to St. Paul. That maximizes attendance and maintains integrity. Wouldn't put SCSU with the higher 2 and 3 seeds.

Quinnipiac fans will be in either albany or worcester. Can't say the same for SCSU and the two western regionals. Scsu deserves st. Paul in that regard. If they get sent to cincy, then THAT is a screw job.

No....because Minnesota is not in the tournament this year. (I know what you meant...)

No, because Sioux fans will go to either place...less likely that as many SCSU fans go to Cinci.

One attendance item that i am sure will still be an issue (haven't looked up prices yet) is pricing out fans, including neutrals, who are within driving distance but don't wanna pay the ridiculous prices.

Notre Dame 2015 flashback, knock off #1 seed, big RIT fan group, great time!

                      Fixed.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

Because they are, year in and year out. The price of the tickets and other factors keep most fans at home in front of their TV's. I think it is funny that we talk positively about attendance in front of the selection show and then next weekend it will be the focus on the negative side. Who knows? Maybe this year with 6 HE and 2 ECAC teams in it will be better.

Just looked at both the Worcester and Albany Ticketmaster sites. Plenty of seats in Worcester. Albany's already end-zone only.

I understand it. I disagree with it. Especially when it means changing rules that have been in place for over a decade.

If it were a rule, it would be written down somewhere official. The situation of two nearly equidistant sites for the top seed (and I grant we can quibble over the term "nearly") compared with a large significance and a "definitely not equidistant" for another top seed has, I suspect, never come up before, but if I'm wrong I'm willing to be informed.

I wonder, as big of deal as college hockey is here in America, if we'll get a bracket leak during the selection show?
