If we don't lose any of our incoming class, it could be a very solid group. Hopefully now that the coaching staff is coming together, we won't lose anyone.

      • Strong start for future two Terriers on Chicago Steel in the USHL Showcase. Game 1 Mack Celebrini's first USHL goal is the game-winner. Game 2 he assisted on a pair of goals by 2023 recruit Jack Harvey, who also assisted on the game-winner.

            • Chicago Steel center Macklin Celebrini will spend the next two weeks playing for Canada Red in the World U17 Challenge in Br. Columbia. NTDP U17s with 2024 recruits Kamil Bednarik and Cole Hutson also in the tournament.

CHN's Mike McMahon, in his Inside College Hockey newsletter, discusses the likelihood that Celebrini will accelerate to arrive in 2023. He quotes a pro scout who says, “He’s the best player I’ve seen come up through the U.S. system since Auston Matthews.” Celebrini is Canadian but has played for San Jose Jr. Sharks, Shattuck and now in the USHL.

              • Mookie saw the 23 class up at nc is dope. 3 first rounders + 3 later round picks. Didn’t they smoke jay’s incomers for next year or do our future boys compare??

                • There's no BU game tonight but you can get a look at several recruits on the free NTDP live stream at 7pm. Shane Lachance and Brandon Svoboda for Youngstown; Kai Janviriya, possibly Michael Chambre ( and 6 BC recruits. ☹️) for the U18s. www.usahockeyntdp.com/watch

                  • Mark Divver tweeted: "No surprise, rumblings getting louder that '06 Mack Celebrini likely will be at Boston University for 2023-24 season, his draft year."

If so, he would be 17 all through the season. Other 17-year-old BU freshmen: Eichel, Heron, Pandolfo

Took me a while to decpher...Newton College has what will likely be the best freshman class for next year, certainly ranked higher than ours. Of course, if M. Celebrini accelerates then that changes things. With Celebrini our 24 class is as good as anyones. Without him (if he accelerates), we still have a very good class. I don't think our 23 class is bad, just not top 5.

My hope is that with Pandolfo and company improving player development, we won't have to focus as much on who is coming in each year.

                        • 2023 recruit Jack Harvey was named USHL Forward of the Week after putting up 4 goals and an assist in two games. Two weeks ago Macklin Celebrini was FOW. Harvey has scored two goals in each of the past four games and leads the league in both points, with 24 (14G,10A), and goals (14) in 15 games this season.

"Jack Harvey continues to elevate every weekend," said Steel Head Coach Mike Garman. "He's scoring at a remarkable rate, which is a byproduct of his hockey-IQ and his commitment to getting pucks back and being hard to play against."

The contest—essentially the USHL All-star game—features top prospects eligible for the 2023 NHL Draft. Rostered on the White Team are NTDP defenseman Kai Janviriaya, Muskegon defenseman Gavin McCarthy and Chicago forward Jack Harvey, who leads the USHL in scoring. NTDP goalie Michael Chambre and Youngstown center Brandon Svoboda will suit up for the Blue Team.
