I agree. The mental breakdowns is killing Brown. I can't believe Naclerio and Lappin want to go out like this

I do not understand why Whittet put out the first line out at the end and not the better defensive line. They gave up an earlier goal and we not strong defensively all night. There is no excuse for giving up a 2 on 1 with 7 seconds left. That is pure mental error. Ernst by the way is looking better than ever...

BrunoFan00 - men's lacrosse is an elite team and I think men's soccer was pretty decent. But that's it. Every other team that I'm aware of has been pretty bad this season.

What a frustrating end to tonight's game. Brown played well enough to win, but didn't (how many times have I said that this season? Ugh).

I didn't think this team would end up worse than last year's, but it did. There were some signs of encouragement - a big improvement in the possession department and two very noteworthy freshmen contributors in Gottlieb and Marchin - but it wasn't enough to change the team's fortunes.

If Gavin Nieto is an improvement over the goalies we currently have, next year might be better. But who knows? Maybe the Whittet era peaked during the 2012-13 playoff run. They've been progressively worse ever since then.

I decided earlier this season that I was going to give Whittet two more seasons to make big strides before I start hoping for a replacement. I'm going to stick to that, but this team REALLY needs to take the next step in the coming years.

            No
Brandon Pirri: Turk would give it to Jagr. That's awesome! Jagr's untouchable. And he would give it to Jagr.

Somewhat related to this weekend's games: In 2010, in the 3rd game with RPI losing play started getting very chippy. Harry Z, whom the RPI fans were all over all night, together with Aaron Volpatti were going at it with Brandon Pirri. When I saw Pirri getting traded to Anaheim with the possibility of playing with Harry Z, interesting coincidence with this weekend coming up; the two of them would have something to talk about But Harry Z was sent down to the AHL and Ducks kept Pirri.

Garnet Hathaway is starting on Calgary's FIRST LINE tonight alongside Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan. That's pretty incredible for a guy playing his second NHL game ever!

Another interesting note is that Noel Acciari of PC will make his NHL debut for the Bruins, who are hosting Calgary, tonight. A little Mayor's Cup action at the NHL level!

Brown has had a great run over the past few years with its players extending their hockey into the NHL. Has to be a great for recruiting.

We match up pretty well with RPI. Of all the higher seeds, this is probably the team we'd want to play the most. I don't know if we'll pull off the upset, but I think we have a better chance than we would against Clarkson, Cornell or especially Dartmouth.

The real bummer is that it costs $10 to stream through the ECAC. That's unbelievable. The price of admission to the actual game isn't much more than that.

EC$$ Hockey runs this series, not RPI. EC$$ Hockey gets the minimum ticket revenue, and can legally do whatever they want with the game. Might as well stick with radio tonight.

My ire is certainly not directed at RPI on this - the ECAC commandeered the streaming for everyone in the playoffs, which is stupid for the teams that have free streams and for those who already subscribed to ILDN.

I'm not sure if I'll shell out the $10 tonight. I might and wait to see if Brown wins, and then tune in tomorrow.

EC$$ Hockey is also the ones that mandated a very specific video review setup according to their regulations, run completely by them. Consider yourselves at least thrice (because there are at least two games in the series) hosed by EC$$ Hockey this season.

We dominate the first few minutes. Then we let in a soft goal. The sky is blue.
