    2. This was apples to their sour grapes... a puck that mysteriously stayed out of the net in that case would be a physics miracle and the time they took was justified by the importance of the situation. In last night's case, the official is trying to make judgement on whether a player who was trying to deflect a shot, "purposely" interfered with a goalie's ability to make a save. It was as big a mind stretch as any video review would allow, especially since the call on the ice was a goal. In short, Aaron and his partner are incompetent and were looking for something that wasn't there.
I dont know what they saw in that replay but did he ever touch Frey? As a Buckeye fan i think Michigan got the shaft on that call.

    Nebraska-Omaha fans agree.

FWIW I thought they got the goal wrong as well.

The irony to that statement is Ohio State fans always believed the refs loved you guys a LOT more than us, especially with how tight Red & Piotrowski have always been!

Man, to have been a fly on the wall in your guy's dressing room during 2nd intermission. I'd bet Red was HOT! Probably would have scorched my ears!

I couldn't believe the 2nd period. It was all I could do to not leave at the 2nd intermission.

Total crap show by the B1G ten.

Also from my vantage point it sure looked like Aaron was trying to "Sell" the goalie interference call. I could not see the screen they were looking at but they kept going back and Aaron kept putting his finger on the screen pointing out something he was seeing. They did that several times.

We could have easily left it until post season- when it really matters. But no, some odd curiosity to just know forces people do look into this- and any drama with the coaches can have an impact on the team- be it from the coaches or the players side.

Now that someone let the cat out- no way of getting it back in the cage....
I'm sure it is in the back of the team's mind. Red has been pretty salty with the media, so it appears to be a distraction. But geebus, they were terrible last night. THIS one was certainly a ringing endorsement of his chances of following Red.

I find it very interesting that Billy Powers name wasn't brought up in that conversation.

Worse yet, the team pretty much showed that if you can mentally get under their skin, they become totally ineffective.
Must have been the worst practice week ever.

Can we keep in track for the B1G regular season? And just as important, can we keep solidly in the hunt for an at large bid?

I know we panned the D pretty badly last week for the loss- but honestly, the do seem to be playing better. That 3-2 OT loss could have been 5-2 3rd period meltdown- especially when Racine lets a soft one in like that.

The passing and offense from the passing is what really let us down Friday. Can be fixed- based on what we have seen.
Expect a high-scoring ****show where no defense whatsoever is played. That's what usually happens in this game.
