Re: The Official "My team got screwed!!" thread of the 2015 Ice Hockey Tournament
Gophers got screwed the worst. Obviously were told the wrong game time because they didn't show up to play.

Agreed, and, this is the second time since 2008 that RIT as the #16 has knocked off the #1, DU in 2008, when they went on to knock off UNH to take part in the FF. Will be interesting to see if RIT and DU meet each other again in the postseason, this time in the FF.
Also thought Holy Cross was 16th and Minny first, when HC won.Again USCHO said 15 and 2.

Originally posted by Terrier520 View PostI believe they do need to specify. Ivy bouncyball gets to select Reg. season winner. hell, look at soccer across the pond. Their league goes with Regular Season winner, and top teams play in a yearlong tournament outside of the league. But the nature of sports and their organizational structure is widely different than here.
Perhaps leagues that have unprofitable or otherwise empty finals (AHC, maybe ECAC) would want to go in that direction? But it does risk two things: a) the possibility of a surprise team making the NCAA that wouldn't ordinarily do so, and b) some more (non-conference, I believe the NCAA dictates) games against better opponents.

Also, what these guys don't realize is that, unless all teams are excluded, at least one team will be on the outside looking in, and that team will have reason to gripe.

Originally posted by Critical Thinker View PostThis is outrageous. Of course Lowell got screwed. Lowell and RMU should leave the NCAA and form a new league, one where every team makes the tournament. Also, they can play exclusively outdoor games and end every game in a shootout, so more fans would show up, and they'd have more revenue than the other schools. Then once the other schools realize the new revenue potential, they too would the NCAA, and no team would ever be screwed again.
