I think fifth is about right in the meaningless polls. New thread next week !
It all starts with the goaltending.

It is nice to be in the top half and somewhat off the radar but hope this isn't a season of mediocrity. We have lost some amazing talent in Wilson and Spiro for sure. SLU was a young team and could be a force, but guess our trip to LP (again) still didn't impress the voters quite enough. Being the preseason favorite is the kiss of death...good luck, Yale. How is it that the former national champs right the ship so quickly and get back to the top without missing a beat?

I assume the last few rows of steel go up before putting a flag up there? And no, I am not getting up there; I have acrophobia.

Yale is first in the media poll, but only third in the coaches poll

I'm pretty sure the 26th of February is a Friday, meaning Union gets the regular season finale. It will certainly be the last regular season game between the two teams at Starr, barring any unforeseen construction circumstances, heavens forbid another strike.

Kyle Baun had two goals and an assist last night in a 5-1 win over Montreal. He leads the Hawks in scoring and has only played in two games with three goals and an assist for four points.

Johnston was playing for the Habs, two guys who should be playing for us this year. Grrrrrrr

Baun was very physical and their coach was raving about him in the postgame interview!
