Just a quick breakup of Ralph's countdown...
Season ticket application showed up in the mail on Saturday. Looking for $$ already.
BTW, met up with former HC Buddy Powers on Friday. He's doing well working as an amateur scout for the NHL's Dallas Stars (maybe this should be in the Alumni thread, but he's not really an alumni).

No one person can be an "alumni".

One thing I miss (and never had a chance to use) was the "pick six" ticket package, which would be pretty nice for the out-of-towners that can't drive out to Troy every other weekend. Even if they did it as a "pick three weekends" and limited the number of prestige pricing games in order to try to get people to attend the games otherwise not well attended, that could help.

No discussion on the new thread title? I'm shocked.

I vote that we start the regular season thread as opposed to a Part II of the Off-Season thread.

We did that in either 09-10 or 10-11; didn't work out too badly.

Last season, the Engineers, led by head coach Seth Appert, finished with a 20-14-3 overall record (14-7-1 in ECAC play).
                        Actually that was SLU's record.

How about we meet in the middle and call the next thread a pre-season thread?

after all, there are at least 66 more posts to come and this thread may be locked after 14 more...leaving at least 52 posts for the pre-season, probably more.
