Michigan has so many weapons, if we can somehow hold them to two goals tomorrow we should sweep!

If you keep your opponent to two goals, and you score three, you'll win most of the time.

Going to be hard to shut down Larkin and Hyman again tomorrow. Hopefully Werenski is scarred for at least 24 hours by that brutal mistake.

            Great game!

Where o where is that alpha michigan fan? Havent seen him/her in awhile, must have scared it off, not surprising.

The ugly helmets have some pretty lame fans. Not used to getting owned on the ice and in the forums...

How about you go on there, do some research on college hockey history, type in "Herb Brooks" and read some stuff on him and Minnesota, do some research on the University's hockey alumni, maybe buy a book or read a article about Minnesota hockey, and then how about you come back onto this site and run your big uneducated mouth about how insignificant Minnesota hockey is. I think what the guy said that you replied to was stupid too, but don't try to tell actual educated college hockey fans that the University of Minnesota is insignificant. Good day to you sir
Idiot, even though we are both avid college hockey fans we are in the definite minority in the nation. Most people could care less about hockey, and even less about college hockey. Why do you think ESPN doesn't really cover college hockey? Oh yea, no one cares. It is insignificant. Michigan is known for far more than hockey, minnesota not so much. And 'The Miracle on Ice' was a very long time ago. Not one current NCAA athlete was alive when that happened. minnesota is insignificant, get over it.

Well that was fun. I was worried early because Mich is obviously very fast and seems bigger and more physical than the Gophs. The weasels were able to cycle and maintain pressure in a fashion we only see from the Gophers when they are going good. Gophs had trouble breaking out for long periods in the first. Both teams want to play similar styles and it was very even for quite a while. Glad the Gophs got a couple quick goals to change the tone. Rau's first was a true thing of beauty on that give-and-go with Cammy on the PP.

Boy, those refs did NOT want to send boys to the box. Pretty much had to approach homicide to draw 2 minutes last night. Could have been way more calls both ways, particularly on hooking and tripping, a lot of stick work went uncalled. Of course, with my maroon tinted glasses, it looked like Mich got away with more of that then the Gophs, but I'm sure it looked like the opposite from the Mich side.

Hope for another fun one tonight, although I will be home with my sweetheart wife while my son attends with a buddy.

Don't forget the Ann Arbor sporting traditions of losing bowl games and calling timeouts they don't have. Oh, and Ed Martin. That guy's right - they're known for ineptitude, stupidity, and dishonesty. They're way more than just a hockey school.

Sportsbook online betting still has Gophers as slight favorite to win again tonight.

Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

I do think it's weird their most celebrated team in school history is not the 1989 team that actually won a title, but two teams that won nothing and were among the most corrupt in NCAA history.

Also, as I said last week, those Gopher jerseys are awesome. Is that the standard Friday sweater?
