My point is it is wrong to have your two best F's being 96's. One being a very late one

They use the event to promote program, inflate value for draft and justify the absurd amount of money they duck out of USA hockey to pay each other.

Would jack Johnson and pat Kane not have been NHL stars without this farce of a program? Did Phil kessel need it?

My bias aside, Trevor Moore, Denver, deserved at least a look.
TriCity--leading scorer 63 points in 62 games on a team that didn't make the playoffs
Univ. of Denver leading scorer as freshman 14-18-32 As of last night 8-10-18 in 17 games
            GO DU !!!

What are your four lines and 3 d pairs? Honestly curious how the team would look with all 95s.

                  Maybe a few 96's
Russia and Sweden playing in semis now, almost 90%+ 95's

Oh, now we're letting in a few 96s. Sweden is more than half non-95s.

Russia improving every game. Should give the home team a good challenge tomorrow night unlike the last two games for Canada. I predict a victory for Canada 4-2 with ENG.

Just watched the USA VS RUSSIA highlights. Tough first period for sure with penalties and soft goals (not on Demko). Why are the US players standing and watching Russian forwards take multiple whacks on 1st goal without putting someone on the ice? Why does US player skate lazily behind the net on goal #2 while 2 Russian forwards storm the net (see goal #1). No way Trouba allows this to happen when he was playing in world juniors.

Disappointing tournament for sure for USA. Too much talent to not make the medal round. Hopefully next year the team will play with more passion and toughness and bring home some medals.

Absolutely. Too young, too inexperienced and too soft. NTDP is the major contributing factor. Benefit of the few at the expense of the majority. As far as 95's agreed. Bailey, Erne, Williams, Moore, the list goes on and on. Hell, you could have picked just about any American 95 that is currently playing NCAA or CHL and probably had greater success. It is a losing battle though USA hockey will never change for all the selfish reasons you already stated.

                                Sigh...

                                Go Russia.

Hate to root for them, but the alternative is far, FAR worse,

In addition, it's a lot of fun to watch Canadian fans gnash their teeth and wail when they lose these tourneys.
