Re: UMaine Hockey 2014-15: The Road from Alfond to Boston
Good win ugly game, 2 once proud programs looking like cellar dwellers. Lots of mistakes, not much D. Romeo was the better goalie but that ain't saying much.

Re: UMaine Hockey 2014-15: The Road from Alfond to Boston
Not sure if anyone is interested, but I purchased 4 tickets to the game up at Alfond and because of a death of a friend we will no longer be attending. I have posted the tickets for sale on stubhub at $20 below face value just hoping that we can get something back for them.

Re: UMaine Hockey 2014-15: The Road from Alfond to Boston
They look like a team that should be slightly north of .500 to me, and right in the mix. Small sample for me to evaluate, yes, but I just haven't seen a yawning gulf in terms of talent vs. any other team this season. IMO, the D is making fewer world-class bonehead plays than they did under Tim, and Romeo looks like he's figuring things out.
As you say, the schedule is getting softer. It would be a real accomplishment if Maine could rally to the extent that they finish above .500, but I won't fall out of my chair if they do just that.
