What a game. Western has a tough goalie it sounds like. Glad to see the Nooks get one past him and that Cahill and the defense played a strong game.

Really wish the PP could get some results though. They had a lot of chances they couldn't capitalize on. Keep up the good work Nooks!

Nanooks Win!!! We may have lost some offense. But the goaltending has turned it up. Let's get the sweep, not just this weekend but in non-conference play. Go Nooks!!

Sounded like a gutsy win. One of those “fight hard, hang on, bend but don’t break, steal one” road games. Good job Nooks. I would expect us to be a little better tomorrow, but I expect them to really ramp it up. Got to use our speed and transition game against their size and physicality. Keep ‘em frustrated with good goaltending and hope they keep sending guys to the box.

        Go Nooks!

5-0-0 for the first time since 1987, I believe.

I expect Western to come out swinging tomorrow. Be ready, gentlemen.

              Saturday night...

Alaska's Krieger called for a 5 min major interference penalty.
Broncos take a 1-0 lead about 2:30 left on the penalty

But Broncos take a penalty so teams are 4x4
              Broncos back to 5x4
              Back to full strength
              Still 1-0 WMU

About 3 left in period one.

                Nooks take another penalty.
Perry hits the post on a short handed breakaway attempt with no time on the clock.

                Perry awarded a penalty shot.

Nooks tie it at 1-1 at the first intermission with Perry's penalty shot.

Bad guys take a 2-1 lead mid way through the second.

With both Kaiser and Perry in the box, WMU extends their lead to 3-1 with a 5x3 pp goal.
...and that's the score after two.

Basara scores for the Nooks to close the gap to 2-3 WMU about midway through the third.

Edit: Empty net goal makes the final 4-2 WMU.
